“Yes, is the default”

Anyone who would like to change their experience of GMS can do so provided it does not take too much communal time, too much money or negatively impact on someone else.

LEARNING AT GMS
Overview

The GMS learning programs follow the guidelines of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and the Montessori National Curriculum. We are a learning community that will provide a wide range of learning opportunities for each and every student to sample different experiences that allow young people to find their passion, their principles, and to make life-long friends.

Our aim is to provide a learning paradigm where the pursuit of passions are prioritised in the quest for individual purpose, while combined with the real world application of essential 21st Century skills. Our teachers and learning guides will support students to be ready for the rapidly changing future through a focus on critical thinking, creativity, ethics and collaboration.

Whilst we have a leadership structure so that things can operate efficiently, there is no
power dynamic within GMS. We treat everyone with the same high degree of respect, celebrate diversity and ensure that all individuals can participate equitably in learning activities.

At GMS, we have a “Yes, is the default” policy. Anyone who would like to change their experience of GMS can do so provided it does not take too much communal time, too much money or negatively impact on someone else. “Everything is negotiable, not everything is permissible”
